PEPFAR is undertaking an effort to markedly improve program results in HIV testing, treatment and prevention to reach the agreed goals of 95-95-95 in Uganda. The ‘surge’ strategy, an effort to increase achievement was devised following a review of annual results ending September 2017 and the first quarter of fiscal year 2018 (December 30th, 2017). Initial focus on early diagnosis and treatment at high volume sites (TX_CURR >500)
For the past 2 years, the “Surge” requires all IPs to report weekly on HTS and HIV related indicators into the PEPFAR In-country Reporting System.
